The working relationship with British-based Bulgarian designer Kiko Kostadinov continues to bear fruit for ASICS. The UB4-S uses the Gel-1130 as the basis for intervention, A model which the design team is well familiar with at this point. For this latest iteration, The shoe is encapsulated by a layer of mesh. Beneath this veil hides familiar panels along with the iconic tiger stripes, Echoing Kostadinov’s own Gel Delva 1 released in 2018.The colour palette is easily spotted by any familiar with the work of Kiko Kostadinov’s studio. A combination of transparent, Iridescent and glossy materials are finished in clashing-yet-complimentary hues . somewhat of a signature for this ongoing partnership.
